Terry St Cyr comments, infrastructure vs enrollment, enrollment down about 15% since covid, depopulating public schools? Assistant Superindent of schools, Terry St Cyr, talks about this re thier budget meeting on Thursday, people are leaving the school district. after covid - 4600 student decline . Small decline since 2010 but heavy decline since 2020. People that are in school and stay in school - educational freedom in the state and kids and parents are benefitting from it. Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons joins the show to discuss the low pass for the Blue Angels Air Show, he was physically at Breakfast with the Blues. Sheriff Simmons mentioned he got to meet with Captain Royce Williams, a legendary 101-year-old Navy fighter pilot and Medal of Honor recipient who was recently honored with a dedicated aerial tribute at the Pensacola Beach Air Show. He got to Deputize Captain Williams, Sheriff's Department celebrating 205 years today. Escambia County celebrating 250 years. Beach event happened with a shot fired near the wharf restaurant (not the orange beach concert venue) - someone accidentally shot themselves in the leg, Pcola beach lot (Casino Beach Parking lot) closed in 5a hour for Blues Thu and Fri. Sheriff says the Sheriff's Department only uses their 5 or 6 spots near the precinct. Says lifeguards had trouble finding spots, firetrucks also. Man stole his friend's truck, fled and eluded and was tased. Burglary at Crabs You Got Em on the Beach. Overnight arrest of man with cocaine and marijuana charged with trafficking.
