Mayor DC Reeves joins the show to discuss: the shooting downtown on the 4th of July, press conference coming up, great community, camera access and great Pensacola police force, downtown completely safe - Mayor Reeves walked with his friends around downtown Monday night. Says this is why those type of things dont (usually) happen here, investigation still undergoing, SRC had budget meeting re property tax and defunding sheriffs association - talks about comparisons to the city of Pensacola, Wall Street Journal talks to (talked to) Mayor Reeves about budget cuts and taxpayer dollars, CRA bonding, bonding against future property tax dollars, going back to 4th of July shooting - curfews - maybe a better approach which starts with a practical conversation about why 14 year olds are out late (for example) . State staute on the books already - possibly use as a template? , safety bollard monies have come through, - lightning round - fun questions with DC Reeves (grocery store temps, most America movie, dog on or off the bed?)
