Sheriff Simmons joins the Pensacola Morning News to offer his thoughts on the police-involved shooting of a black teenager in Minnesota where the police officer shot and killed a black teen who was resisting arrest (the officer claims to have accidentally shot the teen, thinking she had her taser, not gun), a man showing up to the hospital with a gun shot wound in the neck area, an arrest of a suspect who resisted arrest by sticking two deputies with a used syringe needle (both deputies are doing okay), and former sheriff David Morgan announcing he’s running for Mayor of Pensacola.
